Nestled in the most beautiful Somerset village, this charming period cottage was thoughtfully redesigned to create a home that feels warm, cohesive and deeply personal to the client. The brief was to create a modern-rustic interior that celebrated the cottage's character while introducing practical, considered design solutions for everyday living. Every room was carefully connected through a timeless palette of natural textures, warm tones and thoughtfully sourced furnishings, results in a home that feels calm and inviting. This project was all about designing around the people who call it home. Dedicated guest bedrooms provide a welcoming retreat for visiting family, while treasured heirlooms - including a handmade castle crafted by the client's Grandfather - were thoughtfully incorporated into the design to preserve family memories. A bespoke window seat was also created as the perfect sunny spot for a much-loved family cat, proving that the smallest details often become the most meaningful. We provided a full interior design service, including space planning, lighting design, bespoke carpentry, furniture sourcing, procurement, contractor coordinator, installation and final styling.
